The Old Cowboy Bar Is No More….

For the past 3-4 years, I have been loyally, sometimes regularly patronising this place started by that irritating Cowboy Caleb. It was a fantastic, insane place where a new group of my friends surfaced, apart from my school friends and ex-colleagues.

We met up, we wined, dined and then wined some more until someone (or sometwo) threw up and then we wined some more. People came and went and people bitchslap each other all the time online, only to grin at each other like a couple idiots in real life.

The old Cowboy Bar is no more, and it is replaced by a refreshed, reorganised and refined version of the Bar. Minus the baggage, of course, we don’t need them, really.

This is where people can openly insult each other only to have the mods joining in the fun (in a good way of course!); where everyone is OK with flooding the forum with useless posts and lame smiley faces, only to have the mods shout KANINAH STOP BEING ANNOYING (actually I am the only Barmaid/Mod around to openly scream at the Barflies like that so don’t blame the rest of them); where everyone is encouraged to be themselves, short of being an asshat, because when you are an asshat, they will make you drink copious, unholy amounts of hard liquor until your liver turned itself inside out, and some more.

Where else can you find a forum so decadent and so newbie-friendly? I mean, we don’t restrict your posts in anyway, man. We don’t tell you that your fonts are too big or too colourful like some IRC channels I know. We’ll simply ostracise you and get you to conform, peer pressure style.
