PS Cafe Suxxorz.

For $92 it was simply not worth it!!!!!!!!!!! Am full but not satisfied… What the heow, 92 bucks for Feces And Chips and Beef Stewwww disguised as Ragout.

Update: Let’s be fair and clear this up. We went to this PS Cafe at Dempsey and were not satisfied with the food (mainly the food, yes) especially with the kind of price that we are paying for. Let’s rate it with the usual measurements ya?

Ambience: 4 / 5 - Decor, music and everything was really quite nice at night. But we could only get alfresco seats as half the indoor space was under reservation already (darn) and we could barely see what we were eating. -_-

Service: 3.5 / 5 - The wait staff actually bothered to make small talk and was polite, but didn’t remind us not to order the fries as a side dish since I ordered a set of Fish and Chips. They did however tell us it was rosemary and not stray tree leaves in our water.

Food: 1 / 5 - For $26 I had hoped for Fish and Chips that will make me go weak in the knees. But it fell way too short of our expectations. Jeffwee’s beef, mushroom and bacon ragout was even worse. The beef was tough to chew on and was overly ‘beefy’ tasting. The rest of the accompanying stuff were so-so.

The chocolate cake was too chunky (we prefer it smooth, like those of Awfully Chocolate’s?) and was too huge a slice for us to enjoy it without getting too jelat (is there an English word that describe this?).

So you know our verdict. I am quite sure we have Aston’s or Marmalade Pantry to turn to the next time we have western food cravings. Never mind the queues for the former!

My Cats and Rabbits Have Fur Mites.

Calling all cat and rabbit owners who have come in contact with Latte and Cookie for the past few months, please check your pets’ fur for little black dust-like particles.

It’d never struck me as mites, I thought my house was just dusty or something. Until we brought Latte for her yearly vaccination did we find out that she has had fur mites for a couple of months already.

So sorry everyone!!!! My sincere apologies if your pet has gotten fur mites from your touching of our cats, leading to fur mites that had stealthily crept onto your clothing and followed you home… Sorry!!!

I Have Food Poisoning.

The irony? I got it the morning AFTER we returned from Taipei… night after night of eating from night markets and roadside stalls.

And it’s my usual breakfast WTH!!!!!!

Puked and puked and lau sai-ed all day long before I finally got to the doctor’s… BUT THE DOCTOR WAS NOT AROUND?!?!!??!
And we had to rush elsewhere… Arghghghghhh!

Did nothing but slept and slept. Haiz poor Jeffwee had to take care of me.

Had a hot spring soak today and we felt much better from all the walking walking walking!!!

But my new Crocs bit me rather bad. It’s the new Mary Janes (not the holey ones!) and not sure if they are already available in Singapore… Bought a purple pair

Blogging from the airport!!!

Thanks to all those who have given us well wishes and special thanks to those who turned up for the lunch! Apologies to those who were not invited because our place was packed with people with nowhere to sit! More details when I come back ok?

We were pleasantly surprised however that we not only managed to cover the buffet expenses and a litttttttle bit more to spend over at Taipei, we were really heartened by the generous ‘gifts’ everyone gave us even though this was really, really a very simple affair at my home.

Apart from the little hiccup with the caterer arriving way too early that morning, everything went very well… The weather was fine, after days of rain and more rain… and most of our friends turned up and most importantly, our family members were rather pleased with how yummy the spread was and how nice the full buffet set-up looked.

So happy! We can now honeymoon in peace knowing that our bank accounts are not that broken, after all.
