New Policy, Literally.
After fervent discussions with the agent-cum-friend last night, I have decided to embark on a new policy plan. Not just one, but a whole package of stuff that covers:
1. Death
2. Disability
3. Accidents
4. Partial Disability
5. Female cancers and illnesses
6. Critical Illnesses
7. Hospitalisation Benefits + Medisave plan
8. Home Insurance - covers theft and damage to the insides/belongings of our home
So, am now officially well-covered by a wholesome plan all within the budget! And sad to say, will be “surrendering” 2 of my old policies that requires me to pay too much and get covered for too little. It’s a rip-off I tell you!
Not mentioning any company names, but I would think that the premiums I’ve paid for the past few years would have to be sacrificed. All few thousand of it. =| Nah, I’ll get back a lump sum, much less than the amount I’ve paid, but at least I could use it to cover the first few months of my new premiums. It’s a positive trade-off. Let’s just pretend that it’s all wasted on a lousy wardrobe of ugly clothes.
For friends who are not covered under insurance, please please do get one (or more if you can afford it) that covers death and critical illnesses for more than $70,000. My old plan covers me for half of that. -_- The new one? Hmm, I’m not saying here
And friends who have bought policies that pay you shrapnels of peanuts, please review your plans. You’ll never know when they’ll come in handy.
